Potatoes in Yogurt Sauce- Dahiwale aloo


There is one friendly vegetable in everybody’s kitchen also which can be easily named as rescuer.

Whether you are not in a mood to cook or in hurry or you got to know your friends sudden arrival Or you think what to make in kids lunch pack..here is potatoes come to save you . I always believe to make recipes which are simple to make and can available effortlessly in everybody’s kitchen.
Dahi wale aloo is a very simple and creamy potato gravy curry and it goes so well with phulkas or puris..:) It can be made with just the potatoes... you can add green peas if you want. So here goes the recipe...:)



You need : 

Small bunch fresh coriander
12 new potatoes
Yogurt
Turmeric powder
Chilli powder
Ground coriander
Ground cumin
Green chillies




Method :
Chop the coriander leaves finely.Set aside.
Biol the potatoes in salted water until they are tender.
Mix together the yogurt, water, turmeric,chilli powder, ground coriander, ground cumin, salt and sugar in a bowl.
Heat oil in a heavy pan and stir cumin seeds. Fry for 1 min.
Reduce the heat stir the spicy yogurt mixture and cook about 3 mins.
Add the chopped fresh coriander, green chillies and cooked potates and cook for further 5-7 mins. Serve hot with phulkas or puri.
