India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) continues with dazzing showcase of branded jewellery - with B town topmost celebs

Creator of the most exquisite jewellery, the Dipti Amisha brand presented fabulous pieces at the India International Jewellery Week 2013 with their “A Treasure Beyond Measure” collection called “Khajana”.

Closing the show was the very delicately beautiful Aditi Rao Hydari star of the hit film Murder 3, as she glided down the ramp in a magnificent Raani Haar, necklace-cum-choker that flowed from neck to the waist along with shoulder dusters, an ornate finger cover and cluster of bangles.

Charu Jewels’ statement pieces were a fantastic offering to women who want to make that stirring impression wherever they go.The ramp was splashed in saffron creations by Suman Das Gupta to match the festive mood of the show. Making a truly show stopping entry was former Miss universe 1994 Sushmita Sen looking absolutely gorgeous in a zardosi bridal lehenga, choli and dupatta displaying a sensational choker with emerald centre along with three strands of alternating pearls/emeralds, assorted bangles and rings.

Even on Day 3, the very first show by Pallavi Foley had a celebrity showstopper. Alia Bhatt walked the ramp for the second time in her life! IIJW 2013 is also the same ramp where Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar walked together. The couple wrapped Golecha Jewels show at the ongoing IIJW 2013. Shabana Azmi looked gorgeous in a black and red lehenga. She wore a heavy rani haar which had emerald stones on it. The golden necklace was too heavy so Shabana left the ears empty. Javed Akhtar looked splendid wearing a pearl and emerald brooch with a black kurta pyjama. The brooch had a pearl drop in the middle which looked elegant. 

The fantastic “Shezmin” collection by Pallavi Foley in association with Abharan Jewellers was a breath-taking offering at the India International Jewellery Week 2013. Opening the show was the petite spritely, Alia Bhatt, star of the hit film “Student of the Year” wearing impressive hoops with pearl insets. Soon the collection set the mood of the show as the fragrant perfume of the lovely flowers laid in the centre of the runway filled the ballroom of the Hotel Grand Hyatt.

Completing 50 years in 2013, Shringar’s collection of Mangalsutras had such a breath-taking array of designs and impeccable craftsmanship that women in the audience longed to own the many gorgeous pieces. The show titled “Kal Aaj or Kaal”, The presentation started with the Bridal scene of Saat Pheras with a selection of Mangalsutras with dual circle centres in gold and precious stones inspired by peacock and floral patterns. Making a graceful entry on the ramp was the very elegant Bollywood star Juhi Chawla, clad in bridal finery by Bharatis, wearing double Mangalsutras – a short one attached to a giant version - hanging from exotic beads, gold and precious stones. The ethnic and western creations for the models were by Vaishali Shadangule and Swapnil Shinde.
