Dhoom 3 : Aamir’s master stroke @ the end of the year

So guys watched Dhoom 3 yesterday. Well I wish I could watch it first day first show and then could write a review.

But nevertheless I am writing on the 3rd day of the release and as expected, the much-hyped film "Dhoom 3" started with a bang at the worldwide box offices. The Aamir Khan starrer action thriller has shattered all the previous records created by other big films.

So what’s in Dhoom 3? Why is has created so much buzz? Well the movie has Aamir Khan as the baddie guy. And for viewers that is enough to make such openings. Ok so don’t raise your eyebrows thinking that Aamir is doing stunts riding on a  BMW K 1300 R Bike. Coz he convinced us that he can be as good (even better) as any action hero, can look uber cool in bare body like Sallu bhai (maybe he doesn’t have a Greek god look or attractive height and believe me when you are watching him in Dhoom 3, those shortfalls will not disturb you).

In Dhoom series crime is sexy and glamorous so it continues in last installment. Story is simple and predictable but there is a twist in second half. For the first time, unlike the previous Dhoom series, we are given a detailed explanation of why the thief- Sahir, Aamir Khan - does what he does.

There are wondering moments too. How the entire Chicago police force and a SWAT team were so easily fooled by a circus acrobat, and why a bank in Chicago will summon cops from India (Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra as ACP Jai Dixit and Ali) to solve a bank robbery. But ours is not to question why. Once again may I remind you that this Dhoom series we are bound to accept this script and meant to only have a smashingly good time. And we had.

Aamir does stunts and emotions both in remarkable way. He's endearing, sweet and sad all at once. None of the others is as compelling - Uday Chopra is ok as the tapori Ali, leaving the proceedings with much-needed humour. Abhishek Bachchan is serviceable and Katrina Kaif does what she is required to do, which is, look stunning.

Like Aamir says to Katrina in film “Agar 1 sec ke liye bhi najar tumse hata then you are out”. And for audience you can't look away from Aamir.

Lets get the whole thing in short  :

What’s Good: The raw high octane action sequences, the pitch perfect bike thrills and a script which lacked in both the previous editions.

What’s Bad: Stretching at 3 Hours, the film is a little long.

Watch or Not? Dhoom 3 is a definite must watch. Breathtakingly shot with gorgeous cinematography, this edition notches better than its preceding films in terms of thrills and mostly in terms of soul. There is all the action and gadgets, seamlessly decorated together!
